Hear from Prince George Community Members

"I first got involved with Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation when I joined UNBC JDC West in 2018. Throughout attending university, I found my passion of volunteering in the community whether the difference was big or small. With my UNBC JDC West team, we volunteered at various events with Spirit of the North such as Spirit Day and Festival of Trees just to name a couple. As an annual event, UNBC JDC West holds a fundraiser known as "Chilling for Charity" which raises funds for improving healthcare and equipment at UHNBC in partnership with Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. It's crucial to improve healthcare in the North where generations now and more to come have the best option for healthcare when it's needed the most!"

 - - Sukhvir Jawanda (Operations Management Team 2018/19, UNBC JDC West)

As much as UNBC JDC West is involved with Spirit of the North, our very own Judy Neiser (CEO, Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation) has been a coach and mentor for the academic team for six years!
