On behalf of our many generous donors, the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation is pleased to present Northern Health with a Spring Grant totalling $470,122.98. This grant, together with the autumn grant, brings the total funds presented in the past fiscal year to Northern Health and many healthcare related partnerships to nearly $1,000,000.
This grant to Northern Health was comprised of funds for equipment, education and enhancements to healthcare throughout the region. This includes funds for equipment placed in Bulkley Lodge (tilt chair and ceiling lift), Bulkley Valley Hospital (Biliblanket and lab refrigeration), GR Baker Memorial Hospital (surgical instruments and a NeoProbe), and UHNBC (Cuddle Cot, ECG machine, pulmonary function testing system, among others). The grant also includes funding for senior’s wellness, and recreational therapy programs in the service delivery area for UHNBC.
“Spirit of the North is grateful to our many supporters who so generously provide donations to better health outcomes in the region. Through these donations we are able to support Northern Health, other specialized healthcare agencies, and the education of healthcare workers,” said Judy Neiser, CEO for Spirit of the North.
