This morning we were touched by the generosity of the Brownridge Family and Brownridge & Company Insurance Services Inc. who together have matched the commitment made by the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, PG Cougars Alumni and the PG Cougars Society of $10,000 for wildfire evacuee emergency needs.
“We have a long standing relationship with both the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation as well as the PG Cougars and were impressed with their collaboration to provide assistance in support of our neighbours in the Cariboo region,” commented Gord Brownridge, President of Brownridge & Company Insurance Services Inc, and spokesperson for the Brownridge family.
Late last week the Prince George Cougars Alumni Association in conjunction with the Prince George Cougars Society and the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation announced that $10,000 will be donated locally to wildfire evacuees in support of the BC Wildfire relief effort.
“We couldn’t help but recognize the impact that the wildfires were having on the well-being of individuals and families,” said Judy Neiser, CEO for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. “These are people who in good times support us through their donations to healthcare. It was only prudent to recognize that as a healthcare foundation, they need us to step forward too. We are touched once again by the Brownridge Family and their corporate arm. Their generosity is amazing, and we appreciate the trust they place in us. This is what partnerships, relationships, and community is all about – people helping people.”
“The PG Cougars are fortunate and extremely grateful to have incredible partners like Brownridge & Company Insurance, who are simply amazing and inspiring in the way they support our community, “ commented Andy Beesley, PG Cougars VP of business. “ It’s people like Brian & Gord Brownridge and their whole company who make our city a better place to live, and words can’t express how much we value and respect them”.
